We have 3 vehicles.
A purpose-fitted two tonne van which is fitted with soft ride suspension and a 4.5 tonne Pantech truck with a 500kg tail lifter fitted at rear for sculpture and crates.
Both have art transport racking.
The van has the capacity to carry maximum sized works of 3700mm x 1995mm.
The truck has the capacity to carry works up to 4500mm x 2320mm.
PLUS, we also have a purpose-built art trailer with soft-ride suspension to carry maximum sized works of 2070mm x 3300mm. The trailer provides as soft a ride as any vehicle and has a very low floor for easy loading. We also hire the trailer to artists who want to carry their own exhibitions.
What we do
"Moving Art specializes in personalized art transport for individual clients and from the gallery or artist to the customer. We also transport entire exhibitions to galleries and museums. All of our services are undertaken with a sense of respect for the client and the artwork, and conducted with professionalism and an eye on punctuality.
We operate from our base in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales and have a purpose-fitted, late model two tonne van which is fitted with soft ride suspension and artwork racking. A 4.5 tonne truck and a purpose built art trailer.
Our Northern Rivers ‘territory’ includes Byron Bay, Mullumbimby, Bangalow, Lismore, Kyogle, Casino, Grafton, Murwillumbah and Tweed Heads.
We travel from Noosa to Melbourne via Sydney and Canberra every fortnight and to Adelaide monthly.
We do not transport other goods with the art that we carry and Moving Art holds full marine insurance.
As the proprietor of Moving Art, I started this business because I genuinely enjoy art and meeting the people who make art possible. I have operated my own glass business specialising in supplying glass to the picture framing industry and transporting art works for galleries, so I am well aware of the care needed to transport your art.
